Profhilo® is a stabilised injectable Hyaluronic acid (HA) product that remodels the actions of collagen and elastin to increase firmness, plumpness, tone and hydration. It is BDDE free thermally cross linked so that it flows and spreads over an extended area, and is absent of additives so non toxic to living tissue.

It contains 64mg HA ( high weight HA floods the epidermis and gives an instant glow, low weight HA hits the dermis and adds long term hydration) and is a hydration winner for all skin types, in particular dull and dry skin.

It is great for lower face skin laxity, smokers lines, neck and hands.

The injections may cause mild and temporary discomfort as the product enters the skin. A numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment if you wish but is usually not necessary.

This treatment is done in 2 stages.

Stage 1 is the first 2ml treatment which floods the skin and stimulates fibroblasts, collagen and elastin.

Stage 2 is the second 2ml, done 4 weeks later, which boosts collagen and elastic and tightens skin.

Maximum effects are noticed after the second treatment and can last for up to 6 months dependent on lifestyle.

Each treatment usually lasts 30 mins. Initial consultation appointment will be longer to discuss medical history and to make an informed decision to go ahead with the treatment.

• Avoid touching, rubbing or applying make up to the treated area for approx 4 hours
• Avoid extreme heat/cold for up to 24 hours post treatment (including sunbeds/saunas)
• Stay out of sunlight/ UV radiation for 24 hours
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
• Avoid vigorous exercise for 24 hours
• No other skin treatment advised 2 weeks prior or post treatment
• This treatment is not advised until 6 months after tear trough filler due to risk of product migration

• Majority of patients do not experience side effects or allergic reactions.
• Mild redness may occur but will ease quickly
• Bleeding may occur ( advised not to take aspirin or anti inflammatories 2 days before treatment)
• As with any injection, there is a small risk of infection (seek medical attention)
• Hypersensitivity/ allergic response/ anaphylactic reaction ( rare…seek medical attention)
